Sony's new mirrorless interchangeable lens camera system. Introduced in May 2010 it established a new lens mount, "E mount". The design is small (claimed to be the smallest interchangeable lens cameras) and signals a departure from the dSLR Alpha line. The NEX is obviously aimed at the micro 4/3 market (Olympus and Panasonic).
